Buyer Types & Eligibility Criteria

  • Buyer Types and Eligibility Criteria

Buyer eligibility for IPW 2027 is based on the individual applicant, not on their organization’s business model or classification. U.S. Travel Association will evaluate all applications and make decisions based on variety of factors; space is limited and an application does not guarantee a spot at IPW.

IPW 2025: Tuesday 6/17 - Expo 2

To qualify, applicants must demonstrate that they, personally:

  • Have responsibility for sourcing, evaluating, negotiating or contracting U.S. travel products
  • Have decision-making authority or a direct influence on product development and purchasing decisions
  • Are attending IPW primarily to develop, contract or expand bookable U.S. travel products
  • Represent an organization that actively sells, packages or distributes travel to or within the United States
  • Can provide evidence of their role and purchasing responsibilities, if requested
  • Each application will be reviewed individually. Employment by an eligible organization does not automatically qualify an applicant as a Buyer

Individuals attending primarily to sell or promote services, including advertising, paid placement, technology, marketing or distribution solutions, do not qualify as Buyers and must register as exhibitors.

Organizations seeking to promote or sell these services to IPW attendees must participate as exhibitors.

The determining factor is the individual representative’s role and purpose for attending, not simply whether the organization is classified as an OTA or bed bank.
