Eligibility and Requirements
+ International Journalists
+ Eligibility
International journalists must be actively working travel writers, whether freelance, contributing, or serving as part of a travel editorial team. Influencers and content creators applying to attend IPW should have a clear editorial focus and provide opportunities beyond paid partnerships. All media are expected to take part in editorial meetings with exhibitors.
To be considered for an invitation to IPW, media should submit the following information for review to the International Advisory Committee (IAC) Chair in their country/region:
- Professional Bio – Brief overview of your background and travel journalism experience. Include a link to a current media kit and/or portfolio.
- Recent Writing Samples – Provide multiple, recently published travel articles from the last 6–12 months for review. Please provide as many recent examples as possible, including past U.S. travel coverage. The publication date should be visible on the submitted links and/or PDFs.
- Editorial Credentials – If applicable, please provide proof of editorial staff position; freelancers should provide a list of outlets they currently contribute to.
- Audience Reach – Circulation/readership figures for print and/or digital outlets, and, where applicable, unique monthly visitors and social media engagement metrics.
Individuals working in the commercial, sales, marketing, advertising or public relations departments of media outlets are not eligible to attend under the media delegation. They may, however, participate as a Marketing and Technology Provider.
Please direct questions to Cathy Reynolds, Lead Manager, IPW Press Operations.
