Attend as a Domestic Buyer

IPW—the world's premier Visit USA marketplace—welcomes a limited number of qualified domestic buyers to attend and meet with thousands of qualified U.S. exhibitors in one location.

Please note: In 2023, the former Domestic Buyer registration category was been split into two different categories of buyers: Domestic Buyer and Exhibitor Buyer. This page pertains to the revamped Domestic Buyer category, which is intended for tour operators and wholesalers based in the United States and selling a significant amount of USA product to domestic travelers.

Depending on type of business and origin of passengers, eligible domestic buyers will be classified as:

  • Domestic Tour Operator
  • Domestic Wholesaler

NOTE: Organizations that fall into one of these company types should see the new Exhibitor Buyers category for criteria and guidelines.

  • Receptive/Inbound Operators or BedBanks
  • Online Travel Agents (OTA)
  • Marketing and Technology Providers and E-Commerce

IPW Domestic Buyer Program

  • Intended for U.S.-based travel package companies that purchase U.S. domestic product, but DO NOT sell or distribute to the international group or leisure market, and DO NOT offer a marketing or technology solution as their primary business.
  • Intended for established businesses (three years or more) whose primary business function is travel.
  • Requires packaged travel, including a combination of hotels, attractions, transportation, etc., as the core function of the company's business.

Key Points

  • Registration is available for a limited number of qualified buyers who are subject to pre-approval by the U.S. Travel Association and the IPW Advisory Group, which is comprised of exhibiting destinations and organizations.
  • Approved companies may register no more than four domestic buyers.
